What Coburg is
Coburg is an application — on the web, for iPhone and for Mac — that gives you access to AI models made by other companies: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Perplexity, Consensus, Meta and Context7 (United States), Mistral AI (France), Cohere (Canada), Alibaba Cloud, Z.ai and Moonshot AI (Singapore), BytePlus (Singapore / Malaysia), StepFun (Hong Kong) and DeepSeek (China). Coburg does not develop or train these models. It sends your request to the provider of the model you choose, or that Coburg picks for the task, and shows you the answer. It can also, on your instruction, search the web, read links, transcribe and speak, draw images, and read the services you connect. Your chats and files are saved in the storage you choose (for example Google Drive or OneDrive), not on Coburg’s servers; Coburg’s own servers are in the European Union.
Applicable law
Coburg is operated from Spain and is subject to the laws of Spain and the European Union. Our Terms of Service explain which law applies to your use of Coburg and your rights as a consumer.
Data protection
We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (Ley Orgánica 3/2018). Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, with whom we share it — including the AI providers that answer your requests and the countries where they process it — and how to use your rights. The supervisory authority in Spain is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD, www.aepd.es). Questions about personal data go to support@coburg.ai.
Artificial intelligence
Under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689), Coburg gives access to general-purpose AI models made by the providers listed above. The obligations of a model provider — such as documentation of how a model was built and trained, copyright policies and training-data summaries — lie with those providers. The transparency rules of Article 50 of the Act apply from 2 August 2026. This is how Coburg meets them:
- You know you are talking to AI. Coburg makes clear that answers, images and voices are produced by AI, and shows the name of the model under every answer. Voices in Coburg are synthetic and are presented as such.
- AI-generated content. Texts, images, code and audio created in Coburg are generated by AI. Where the provider of a drawing model marks generated images in a machine-readable way, Coburg passes the image on unchanged and does not remove that marking. If you publish AI-generated content, in particular realistic images, audio or video of real people or events, or AI-written text on matters of public interest, you must disclose that it was generated or altered by AI, as described in our Usage Policy.
- No high-risk use. Coburg is a general-purpose assistant. It is not intended for decisions about people that fall into the high-risk areas of the AI Act — such as employment, credit, education, access to essential services, law enforcement or migration — without a person reviewing them, and it must not be used for the practices the Act prohibits, such as biometric identification of people or manipulative techniques.
- Supervision. The market surveillance authority for the AI Act in Spain is the Agencia Española de Supervisión de la Inteligencia Artificial (AESIA, www.aesia.gob.es); for AI systems that process personal data, the AEPD also has competence.
Connected services
When you connect another service in Connections, Coburg acts on your instruction and with the permissions you grant on that service’s own screen; access is read-only, except playback and appliance control that you explicitly enable. Coburg is registered as an application with each of these services and follows their developer policies, including the Google API Services User Data Policy for Google services and the Microsoft Identity Platform terms for Microsoft services.
Age
Coburg is for people aged 18 and over.
Availability and sanctions
Coburg may not be used by persons or in countries that are subject to EU or Spanish sanctions or export restrictions. Some AI providers offer their models only in certain countries; where that applies, the model is not available in Coburg either.
Contact for authorities and reports
Authorities, users and anyone who wants to report illegal content or misuse can reach us at contact@coburg.ai, in English or Spanish. Security issues: security@coburg.ai. Coburg does not host user content publicly: chats and files are private and kept in each user’s own storage.
Changes
We update this page when the law or Coburg changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
